LOGIC OF VIOLENCE
Its coming back, again
the idea of Us versus Them
The lies, the speeches
the crowds all cheering for hate
We arm, build fences
spreading fear as we keep to ourselves
Obedient, silent
But brought to life by the sound of the bells
And so we murder our neighbours
and burn down their homes
We drown all of their children
and dance on their bones
That’s the logic of violence;
borders drawn up in blood
As all of our sanity
is swept away in the flood
They´ll say, its vengeance
for the sins of their fathers before
They´ll say, its justice
for the outcome of long lost wars
We fortify, build fences
Spreading hate as we keep to ourselves
Fear, paranoia
brought to life by the sound of the bells
So we murder our neighbours

Drown all of their children
and dance on their bones
That’s the logic of violence

As all of our humanity
